The artwork is saturated with radiant yellow, carrying interwoven passages of red, blue, burgundy and violet. Rounded masses are crossed by a dense geometric lattice, while elongated lower forms and detached vertical elements expand the composition into white space. Its vigorous impasto intensifies every colour. The interlocking structure suggests Colombia’s converging landscapes and histories, while the bright, varied internal forms can be read as an evocation of cultural plurality held within a powerful visual unity.

Colombia occupies the meeting point of the Andes, Caribbean and Pacific, extending into the Amazon and Orinoco regions. Indigenous societies flourished long before Spanish colonisation, while African and European histories became deeply woven into the country’s development. Independence, achieved in the early nineteenth century, opened a new chapter in its evolving national story. Colombian culture reflects remarkable regional and human diversity.
