Paraguay

The composition's turquoise field unfolds through sweeping curves, pointed extensions and rhythmic, comb-like forms. Red, yellow, green and white accents interrupt the dominant colour with concentrated energy, while generous white spaces open passages through the composition. Its dense impasto contrasts with the lightness of the silhouette. The interplay of connected and separated forms can be read as evoking Paraguay’s layered cultural memory: distinctive traditions held together within a dynamic, resilient whole.

Paraguay occupies the heart of South America, divided by the Paraguay River between the fertile eastern region and the broad Chaco.
