Griselda Pollock is an art historian and cultural theorist whose work has contributed to the development of feminist art history and the social and critical study of art. As Professor Emerita of Social and Critical Histories of Art at the University of Leeds, she has published extensively on modern and contemporary art, visual culture, gender, memory, and representation. Her research integrates art history with critical theory, psychoanalysis, philosophy, and cultural studies to examine the historical, social, and political dimensions of visual practice. She is the author and editor of numerous influential books and has contributed to research, curatorial projects, and international academic initiatives in the humanities.

Mieke Bal

Mieke Bal is a cultural theorist, critic, curator, and video artist whose work spans cultural analysis, narratology, visual studies, and contemporary art. As Professor Emerita of Literary Theory at the University of Amsterdam and co-founder of the Amsterdam School for Cultural Analysis (ASCA), she has contributed to the development of interdisciplinary approaches that integrate literature, art, philosophy, and the humanities. Through publications, exhibitions, films, and artistic projects, her research examines visual culture, narrative, memory, identity, migration, and the production of cultural meaning.
