DIVINE DNA Volume II

Divine DNA Volume II presents a monumental visual system developed by Gheorghe Virtosu between 2010 and 2016. Conceived as a unified symbolic structure, the work brings together 249 nations and territories within a single iconographic framework.

Through an original language of abstraction, national identities are translated into autonomous symbolic entities. Rather than reproducing official emblems or political cartographies, the work constructs a visual architecture in which cultural identities function as interconnected components of a larger system.

Each entity operates simultaneously as an independent symbolic structure and as a constituent element within the overall composition. The meaning of the work emerges through the relationship between individual forms and the broader framework in which they are situated.
